WHAT IS AMMO ALLWORMER?
The new peppermint flavoured AMMO Allwormer is an all-in-one wormer that kills more than 99% of roundworms, tapeworms and bots. It contains 2 ingredients (morantel and abamectin) that work in different ways making it very effective. It’s been proven to be effective against roundworms that are resistant to other wormers1. It has also been proven to be safe to use in all horses. It can be used year-round every 6-8 weeks.
DOES AMMO ALLWORMER COME IN DIFFERENT FORMS?
AMMO Allwormer is available as individual tubes of 32.5g and in Stud Buckets of 50 tubes (great for people who own several horses, riding schools and studs). There is also a partner product for AMMO Allwormer called AMMO Rotational which can be used every second year to help reduce the risk of resistant worms developing. AMMO Rotational contains oxfendazole and is the choice rotation partner for AMMO Allwormer.
IS AMMO ALLWORMER A GOOD PRODUCT?
AMMO Allwormer has been scientifically proven to be effective. It has also been shown to be better than some other products such as Equimax1 when it comes to resistant or stubborn worms. It is also trusted and used by top equine professionals in their horses such as David Cameron and Stuart Tinney.
AMMO Allwormer treats all major worms including:
- Large Strongyles
- Small Strongyles (including benzimidazole resistant strains)
- Ascarids (including ivermectin and abamectin resistant strains)
- Large Mouth Stomach Worms
- Next Threadworms
I’VE HEARD THAT I SHOULD ROTATE HORSE WORMERS. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND HOW DO I DO IT?
Rotation means to use different types of active ingredient (not just different brands) to kill worms. By rotating the type of active ingredient, you kill the same worms in different ways. This reduces the risk of the worms becoming resistant to one particular active ingredient and reducing the number of products that remain effective against worms.
It is important to remember that some brands contain the same ingredients so it is not enough purely to switch brands.
With AMMO, rotation is easy. AMMO Allwormer contains abamectin and morantel while AMMO Rotational contains oxfendazole.
